We believe students succeed when they are willing to assume responsibility for their own learning. All students are assessed at the beginning of their courses to establish the minimum standard of achievement they can expect and then work closely with their Subject Tutors and Personal Mentors to achieve their potential. They are given the opportunity to learn in ways which suit their individual strengths and to participate in an extensive programme of enrichment activities.
We place particular emphasis on regular feedback to students regarding their academic progress. Parents are welcome to contact any member of the Sixth Form Management Team to discuss any aspect of a student’s progress. Personal Mentors monitor and support students in all aspects of their lives and the Director of Student Services assists students with non-academic matters.
This prospectus gives details of the range of courses on offer at Fakenham Sixth Form. We are also committed to enriching the curriculum through activities which enhance personal development and skills. The benefits of involvement in these activities are considerable and during the early part of the year students are encouraged to choose at least two activities to complement their courses of study.
The Sixth Form is full of enthusiastic and lively students working in partnership with dedicated and committed staff. If you want to know whether Fakenham Sixth Form would suit you please contact the Sixth Form and we will be happy to arrange an appointment for an individual tour during a normal working day.
